Magus (maːguʃ)
Magus was the first ever magocracy, founded by Crystalblood rebels. Even though it has separated itself from their more extreme views, it was still a nation that completely revolved around Mages and Blood Crystals.
Structure
The nation was lead by the High Arcanum, the most powerful Mages of the main schools of magic: Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination, Enchantment, Evocation, Illusion, Necromancy, and Transmutation. Their identities were unknown - even to each other, to avoid rivalries - and they wore a special set of masks during meetings. Only Mages could hold positions of power, even if it was as minor as simple nobility.
History
Damva Refuge has had a large population of Mages due to their citizen being more keen to swallow Blood Crystals (probably due to being more drunk on average). These Mages then created their own groups and began calling themselves Crystalbloods. Eventually they rebelled, and with the help of the Dwarf rebels from the western side of the refuge they have won, and proclaimed the founding laws of Magus.
Disbandment
They were swept during the Mizzrym - Ozr'ink debate.
Demography and Population
Mage and Crystalblood majority, but other dali were also welcome here, especially if they were open to learn or appreciate Magic.
Military
Their army only consisted of Mages, only a few of which have learned to wield a melee weapon, which made them extremely strong at long range combat, and somewhat weaker in close range ones.
Religion
The state religion was not enforced, although Professors of Magus loved debating non-believers in their free time.
