Knight's Oath
The Knight's Oath is an oath during which someone is knighted. The Ruler appoints / legitimizes the Knight, who in exchange swears loyalty to the Ruler. A Knight however remains a Knight even after the Ruler has departed.
History
It first developed as an extension of the Dwarvish Oath for non-Dwarvish societies, but has quickly evolved into its own.
