Fire Wood Material in Daimon | World Anvil

Fire Wood

This wood came from a tree that can live up to 300 years, capable to reach up to 50m tall and more than 3m trunk diameter; though the most are around 30 - 35 m tall and 1.5m trunk diameter. They require around 30 years to attain full maturity. In dense forest, the tree has branches at the top and few leaves; in more open locations, have branches from the middle and has more leaves.    The trunk and branches color is scarlet and the leaves are white or yellow depends on the season.   These trees grow up, naturally, in the southern region of the main continent; but the elf wizards of old, discovered the properties of the wood and us it as spell component for almost any fire spell and some transmutation ones. They cultivated fire wood near all the major elven cities.  The Dwarven know about these trees and, now the wood is used as fuel because the burn slowly but with good flame.   Some say the trees were enchanted by the evil non-divine spellcaster and make a demand to prohibit the use, even to "burn forest" but even the Sun seeds., the leading faith of the Minos, know the use of the wood in the economy and trade. To "calm the waters", they prohibited the use of "transports" or other devices fueled by fire wood...at least in the open; is well know that the human central kingdom, Dwarven cities and the gnomes have some "contraptions" that are fuel it with fire wood.   The famous Steel SeaHorse is one of these machines moved by fire wood, Gnome wits and money.

I came to this article thinking it would be about wood for making fires. And well... it is, but it's also more specific than that. I like the play on words!
