Gorgol

orgol, "The Black Citadel", stands as the only hint of civilization amidst the harsh and unforgiving Rhakhis Peaks.
Stories tell of a black tower that stretches high above a frozen valley lake, and yet is dwarfed by the mountains that surround it. Beneath the tower, darkness; The Depths Below.
While The Dawning Empire claims dominion over the continent, it has no sway over the city of Gorgol, which operates as an independent city-state ruled by the mysterious Cloven Mistress.
Nannies tell stories of the horrors that are witnessed at the Black Citadel to scare children. Those outcasts from the Empire who are desperate or crazy enough might attempt the journey to Gorgol to find a place to call home, though none are heard from again.
Few maps of the Empire register the existence of this dark city, and many refer to it more as a story than a real living place. Elite members of The Eclipse Knights are some of the only living citizens of the Empire who are said to have visited the city and returned, namely their leader, the Icon of the Moon.
