Bair Nestad Gardens
rriving at the Gardens, only a short day's trek from the city of Wallsend along the crumbling ruins of the ancient wall and a few miles into the forests in the south of Avlar's Folly, visitors are greeted by one of the warmest and brightest communities within Daënfel. Fantastical gardens surround this opulent abode, where weary travellers can lay down their heads and rest before the many days journey to Trinity, The Pearl of the Empire. The crystal clear and swift moving Arrow River passes through the gardens which are hundreds of acres large, with healthy salmon swimming within the stream. Geese and peacocks in their hundreds strut through rows of roses, fields of lavender and perfectly trimmed hedges of jasmine, with pools of eels and frogs dotted between the winding path that snake through the countless garden beds. The inn at Bair Nestad is handcrafted by the proprietress herself, an elderly elven woman by the name of Rosemary Goodfellow. Hundreds of handcarved trees have been waxed and moulded into the tavern floor and walls, with the huge staircase to the second and third floors being sculpted from a single gigantic trunk. A hearth that never grows cold burns year round in the tavern's main room, with Rosemary's famous 'forever stew' bubbling away in a huge cauldron over the coals. Dozens of cooks, barmen, servers, attendants and stablehands make up the team who live in the cottages surrounding the inn, all with beeming smiles who diligently and effectively look after the hundreds of guests who can be accomodated in the home of Bair Nestad at once.
