Architecture

Hemos has an architectural style best described as a picturesque German town that got mugged by a gothic ironworks in a gargoyle factory. While the poorer areas are more typical for the region, As one nears the peak of the mountain the architecture becomes more and more extravagant until one reaches the Palace and Cathedral, the architects of which having had a bad tendancy of going dangerously insane halfway through the project.

Geography

The city of Hemos is built upon a wide mountain, the granite protrusion rising from the softer rock of the surrounding plains. Deep wells have been dug in many places into the hard stone, however most commoners still get their water from the rivers that flow past the base of the city.
