The Free Kingdoms

The Free Kingdoms are at this point, rather ironically named. Originally an alliance formed out of desperation when the Empire of Daria first formed, absorbing their Western neighbours, the Free Kingdoms became more and more autocratic with each passing year, as they failed repeatedly to reclaim their lands.   Due to the massive numbers of undead they face on a daily basis, almost all of The Free Kingdoms worship the immortal Fulgor, the Cleansing Fire, and his church is a monolithic presence of equal or greater power than the Royal Council who officially rule the Kingdoms.   The Free Kingdoms are beset on all sides by enemies. To the North and West are constant battles with the Hobgoblins and Daria, to the South are the goblin tribes and dragon cults, and within their borders they fight a constant war against heresy, the corpse plague and the drow.
