Characterized by enormous courage and stalwart adherence to their ideals, the Simerian People are the dominant ethnicity in the Prästarwald. The Simerians have cultivated a society that is inextricably tied to the forest and the wolves that call it home. There are twenty-eight organized wolf packs in the Wolf Wood, to which every Simerian family belongs. Fulfilling the roles of spiritual guides, community healers, and civic counselors, each pack has a coven of three Daughters of the Moon, a Maid who acts as the Warrior, a Mother who acts as the Watcher, and a Crone who acts as the Wayfinder, who use their goddess-given abilities to perform all religious rituals, act as prime advisors to the pack alpha, and care for the physical and mental needs of the community. The First Coven, based in Volstadt serves as the monarch's first advisor.
Inspired by Germanic and Eastern European cultures.

Culture
Lindish is the lingua franca of the Wolf Wood, but Fengarian, or Wolfspeech, is still spoken in most homes and in all religious rituals presided over by the
Daughters of the Moon.
Simerian culture and society revolves around worship of their prime goddess,
Simene, the goddess of autumn and the moon and the patron of wolves. As such, every Simerian family belongs to one of twenty-eight wolf packs, one for each night of the moon cycle. The packs provide the basis for all social order in the Wolf Wood with each group being led by an alpha of indeterminate sex and guided by a coven of witch sisters who dedicate themselves to the goddess. Cordial tribute is paid to the rest of the Eidolons, with highest honors granted to Simene's lover,
Skollur, the goddess of winter and justice. An array of minor gods and goddesses flesh out the rest of the Simerian cosmology.
Therona the Midnight Huntress is regarded as the first and greatest of Simerian heroes. She was not only a cunning and fearsome hunter, but also the first Maid of the
Daughters of the Moon who was the first to meet the goddess at her campfire under the light of a full moon. Through her wits and bravery, the Goddess gave Therona her blessing, and so began the story of the Wolf-folk. After her death, Therona went to live among the stars with her goddess as the loping constellation known as the Huntress, whose arrow always points north.
A magical practitioner is referred to as a witch.
Minor deities are known as dísir.
