The Evil Telepathic Dictator Fintal Simion Storm (a.k.a. Fintal)
Fintal is the Evil Telepathic Dictator of the asteroid colony Samarlina. Despite the title and his role as a villain in the story, he's actually really adorable and has many redeemable qualities.
Personality wise, he's very exitable and energetic, with no concept of personal space. Fintal is addicted to gummy bears and has a huge obsession with marine biology. He would have been a Marine Biologist had not he been the one to take down his mom, the Evil Telepathic Dictator before him.
Fintal has a huge and rather problematic crush on a certain raven-loving, knife-weilding Cycadian Queen.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Fintal is fairly physically fit. He's mostly lean muscle than anything else. Fintal is also 6' 2" and spindly.
Body Features
Very pale thanks to a lack of sunlight underground. He also has gravity defying hair and is actually really short for a Samarlinian.
Identifying Characteristics
Jet black, stick-straight hair that sticks straight up on his head despite a lack of hair gel and other hair products, and his neon green jacket.

Fintal wears a perfectly tailored neon green tailcoat with black swirly designs on it at pretty much all times. The jacket has many pockets that are filled with bags of green gummy bears. Underneath hus jacket, he usually wears a black or white button down shirt, black dress pants, and knee-high brown boots. Occasionally, he'll have a sword and scabbard on him.

Personal history
Fintal was born into the family of the then-current Evil Telepathic Dictator (ETD). As the eldest, he was expected to follow in the ETD's footsteps. Which sucked for him, because he wanted to be a Marine Biologist.
His mother was abusive and just not a very nice person and as soon as Fintal got old enough, he took her out in a telepathy battle in the hopes of achieving his dream of becoming a Marine Biologist. Unfortunately, he forgot that the one who takes out the EDT becomes the next EDT.
Then, he had to deal with the apparent death of his twin brother numerous assassination attempts, and discovering several lost Samarlinian territories.
He dealt with them for the best of his ability and got Kalmi. Lots of Kalmi. Then he made contact with the Cycadians, quite on accidentally.
He travelled to their world, met Amerlikia and fell head-over-heels in love with her. After a while, he figured out his brother was still alive and married, no less. Fintal insisted upon meeting Eryk's wife, and when he found out that she was Amerlikia, he freaked.
Fintal killed Eryk and declared war on Cycadia. He tried very hard to get Amerlikia to change her mind. It was very unsuccessful because there was kind of a rebellion going on on Cycadia.
Of course, Fintal made some shady alliances with people who betrayed him and hurt him. There was a final showdown in which Fintal abdicated so his niece could take over and bring peace and ran off into space to mourn the death of Amerlikia.

Fintal was educated in the telepathic arts at first by his mother, while a tutor was hired to teach him everything else. After he overthrew his mother, he self-taught himself everything she hadn't. He's spent most of his life studying marine biology in secret on his own.

Fintal is the Evil Telepathic Dictator of Samarlina, which basically means he's in charge of making sure his people behave. As the most powerful telepath on Samarlina, he makes sure that his people follow the rules and are loyal to him. Since discovering some of the other territories of Samarlina that had previously been Lost, he has the Grey Jackets do the hard work of that job and mind controls the Grey Jackets to ensure they do their job.

Despite all of his annoying qualities, Fintal still has some good ones! Like for one, he's very loyal to his friends and will hurt you if you hurt them. He's also really good at cheering people up if they're sad, and is actually really kind and generous. He's also very much a cinnamon roll.

He's actually pretty ok with the whole hygiene thing? You'd expect he'd have horrible teeth and other problems considering the gummy bear thing, but he's actually surprisingly ok.

In terms of religion, Fintal is like one of those people who only go to church on Christmas or Easter. Most of his world's religion involves paying homage to deceased family members, and Fintal never really had a good family to begin with. However, he celebrates holidays associated with Samarli Cyrin with regularity.

Fintal has an annoyingly huge crush on Merlana Amerlikia. Merlana-Amerlikia doesn't reciprocate and has repeatedly told Fintal this. Fintal did not take this well and started a war after he found out she'd married his brother.
