Samarlinians speak the same language as the Cycadians, with a few words having vastly different meanings thanks to the change in culture.
Common Dress code
Samarlinians must always wear the jacket that represents what level of telepathic education they've reached. Neon green means you're the best there is and the Evil Telepathic Dictator. Grey means you're law enforcement and up there in terms of skill. Magenta means you're nobility and have had a pretty good education, but not The Best. Blue means you're middle class and probably trying to get to Magenta level. Black means you've learned the basics. Orange means you're still learning the basics.

There are several days in the year where Samarlinians go and remember the dead.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
Birth rights involve having your child brought to either the current Evil Telepathic Dictator or Grey Jacket so they cam have their loyalty ensured.
Coming of Age Rites
When a kid comes of age, their jacket gets its swirls. For Black Jackets, they get orange swirl patterns. For jackets of other colors, they get black swirl patterns.
Funerary and Memorial customs
People who die are incinerated and their ashes used to make something new. Recycling!
Common Myths and Legends
The Samarlinians don't have as much as the Cycadians do in terms of a rich mythological history. All they really have is the creation story and vague murmers about the legacy of Samarli.

Beauty Ideals
Samarlinians tend to consider being tall and having shorter hair to be beautiful. They also consider red hair to be rather ugly and pesantish.
Courtship Ideals
If you have romantic feelings for someone, tell them. If they return them, then you start dating and getting to know each other. The person who first confessed their feelings will be proposed to by the other if they think marraige is the next step.
Relationship Ideals
Marry! Don't marry! Polyamorous relationships! That's cool with the Samarlinians! Just make sure there's consent first.
