New Jerusalem Neighborhoods
New Jerusalem is made up of nine neighborhoods or districts: Northside, Downtown, Easttown, Merchant District, River Town, Campus, French Hill, Uptown, and Lower Southside.
The town has a systematic house-numbering system. Beginning at the intersection of Main and Garrison, blocks have been numbered in ascending 100s, in the four cardinal directions.
Larger blocks, such as College and Pitman Streets west of Garrison count as four blocks in the scheme.
Traveling as the house numbers ascend, even-numbered addresses occur to the right, and odd-numbered addresses to the left.
