New Jerusalem Clubs, Orders, and Organizations

Astronomical Society:
Amateur astronomers meet weekly in the warmer months of the year for stargazing field trips (Contact Dr. Morris Billings, Department of Astronomy, at Missituk University).  
Athletic Club:
A young male professionals' association formed decades ago as a refuge from Prohibition and incidentally to play handball and rugby (602 Crane Street).  
Chamber of Commerce:
A businessmen's organization active civically (520 Gedney Street).  
New Jerusalem Amateur Theatre Company:
Headquartered at the Manley Theatre (711 Jenkinne Street).  
Daughters of the American Revolution:
A conservative women's organization dedicated to community service and patriotic Americanism (432 West Saltonstall Street).  
Eye of Amara Society:
A mystic society headquartered in a mansion (136 East Saltonstall Street).  
Gun Club:
Pheasant and partridge shooters meet at various private homes or in the field (President and founder is the owner of Parrington's gun shop (433 1/2 West Main Street).  
Historical Society:
Dedicated to the preservation of New Jerusalem's historical sites and memorabilia (537 South Garrison Street).  
Masonic Lodge:
A secretive men's 'mystic society' with strong professional ties, frequently involved in civic affairs. An informal associate group for women exists. The Catholic church forbids membership in this organization (679 Browne Street).  
Missituk Club:
A posh club for people of good family who have money (411 West High Street).  
Rotary:
A service organization devoted to good deeds in the community (650 North Garrison Street).  
School Board:
Members must be popularly elected, but the positions carry prestige (Town Hall).
