Ursap

Description

Ursaps are highly territorial and will make their presence known by slathering their sap all over things near their lair. Despite their aggressive nature, an ursap will still take smaller crytures into its pack, and the variety of these crytures expands well beyond the weakest of them. An ursap lair is likely to be guarded by a wide range of cryture species from the local area, all of whom partake of their host's sweet drippings. One thing they won't tolerate in their pack however, are crytures that can rival their own power. Such crytures are always driven out with the help of their allies to cement the ursap's authority.

Combat

An ursap usually doesn't spend much time with ranged attacks, and will close into melee as soon as possible. It isn't shy about taking the brunt of attacks, thanks to its high defenses, and tries to protect weaker allies when they get in trouble. Members of the pack will play along with this behavior, either launching attacks from range, or flanking enemies with their boss.
