The Endless Hunger

The Endless Hunger is a powerful Devourer that Lurks within the sea's around Currosia. One of the Four Uncrowned Kings, The Endless Hunger is considered a Devourer that is capable of causing Calamities wherever it goes. Among the Uncrowned Kings, the Endless Hunger is the most feral and generally believed to be the most powerful physically. The Endless Hunger is an enormous Devourer whose presence within the Sea of Regrets and Ravian Ocean causes all travel out of Currosia nearly impossible. Wherever the Endless Hunger goes, it is surrounded by a miles wide blanket of living mist. Within the mist, all manner of Oozes form and for those unlucky enough to enter it, they are often devoured and broken apart by the oozes. These Oozes tend to die off rather quick once the mist moves on. Because of this mist, the physical form of the Endless Hunger isn't public knowledge, but most believe it to either be a giant Ooze, or a Kraken of some kind. The Endless Hunger is represents the need to consume all, regardless of its make. The Endless Hunger feeds off all living matter, having large quantities of Vita or not. It's large apatite for all creatures makes it the most diverse feeder, but also the least efficient. The Endless Hunger's avatar is known as the "Avatar of Hunger". The Endless Hunger's avatar are well known for being the most ferocious and the least intelligent. Being the Avatar of Hunger gives the Devourer some capacity to break down and directly consume the Vita of its targets. The Endless Hunger spends no time in avatar selection. If one of its avatars is too weak, it will be killed and literally the next closest creature to the Hunger will become the new avatar. It continues until a powerful enough Devourer gains the mantle. Because of this, Avatars of Hunger are the most common avatar to be killed as while most avatars will avoid the Eternal Flame, Avatars of Hunger will often attack out of instinct. Avatars of Hunger have even been known to attack Kilead and Ashore from time to time, although those cities are well fortified enough to repeal the attack of an avatar. The same cannot be said about the smaller settlements.
