A phrase of warning not to let one's guard down around demons. Derived from a Zozun phrase as explained below.
Primary Region of Use: Astrum, Gaean
Variations: kasura unaven (Zozun - literally "Demons don't sleep.")
Notes: The original zozun phrase has an ominous feeling, and is used by Demons as a threat with a meaning to the effect of "I'll never stop doing [harmful thing]" (e.g. I'll never stop coming after you to kill you! I'll never stop plotting my revenge because you ate my pie! Don't let your guard down, I'm after you and I won't stop!) The more common phrase has a warning tone and is primarily used by non-demons to remind one another not to trust demons.
Exedis

Great is not good
Something can be great (consequential, impactful, accomplished, prominent) without being good in a moral sense. This also applies in reverse.
Primary Region of Use: Universal, but with tonal differences. See notes.
Variations: kivalor ni ne kopalor (zozun, 'lit. greatness is not nobility')
Use Example: Use Example
Notes: This phrase can have different implications depending on the one using it. In most use cases, it is a warning that just because a thing is impressive or powerful, that does not imply they are inherently moral or kind. However, when used inside Incaendium, it will usually imply the opposite - that strong morality does not make a person inherently impressive.
Has been and Will Be

Lumen
The term used to represent the overall potential, tapped and untapped, that a person possesses. This includes physical abilities, od, void, elemental affinities and everything about their power except for skill or how developed the abilities are. A person can have a high lumen level but be virtually helpless if they lack understanding of and skill with their abilities.
Primary Region of Use: Universal
Lumenti
Abilities that are "carried" - which is to say powers that have already been actualized/achieved. If a person has the potential to control all forms of metal but has only learned to manipulate steel, then their overall metal affinity contributes to their lumen (see above), but their lumenti includes only steel manipulation.
Primary Region of Use: Universal
Red
A common description of intensity of feeling in Incaendium. This could reference love, desire, anger, violent impulses or anything else. The implication is that the emotional state is strong enough to determinative (or at least very influential) in the person's actions.
Primary Region of Use: Interrealm
Supranormal
Abilities considered extraordinary or "extra" vs. the basic functions of life. This includes things like magic, elemental abilities, psionics and even physiological abilities if they exceed the norm for their species.
Also sometimes used to describe any ability that substantially exceeds that of the speaker. For example, a human might use that term when referencing the natural strength of a Nephilor even if the Nephilor is not extraordinary by the standards of their own species.
