Sleeping Giant

I'm writing this because the teacher told me to.... So we went to Torthinal (stupid name) Illusion museum. This is my report on the only interesting thing there.
  I liked the Sleeping Giant.
This isn't enough words Thenis, please add more before sending it to the Museum.
Fine. So when I went up to the Sleeping Giant stand, I wasn't very impressed. It was just the image of a giant laying down. It had okay detail, but it was sleeping. Then I walked by it and it stood up and accused me of waking it up with my big feet. I defended myself, obviously. My feet aren't huge and I am very light on my feet. No way I could have woken him up. I argued with him until lunch. I had no idea you could argue with an illusion. It responded to my responses in a very accurate way. Tell the artist I liked his work the best.

Thank you for hosting our school trip, Thenis

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Sleeping Giant is an illusion of a giant sleeping on the floor. It will respond to people and speak to people. It seems to have the gruff personality of a giant and is not shy of using minor personal insults.

Significance

Illusion art was trying make a place in the art world, but it was struggling. Many artists dismissed them as not being skilled and using magic to cheat at art. The Sleeping Giant was the first interactive art by an Illusion artist. Being able to interact with people made this type of art very unique. The detail needed to have an illusion have a conversation with someone fascinated so many people. This launched a new age in the art world.

The magic used in the primary skill necessary. The illusion artist does require a permanently enchanted stand, making it one of the most expensive arts to practice. To make them interactive, they use a variety of different spells and some unique clockworks in the stand.

Giant in School

Voril Coldshadow wanted to learn magic. Very few giants usually go to the universities, but he was determined. He found a private tutor to learn the basics and show the admissions that he can do it. He excelled with the magic and was able to get in the school. Voril liked Illusions and the flexibility it allowed and tried to concentrate on that school of magic. As he continued his schooling, he began to get bored and started spending time in art district of the city. This always gave him new ideas on how to use his illusions. He worked a few periods a week at one of the stands, using his illusions to help draw in prospective customers.

Artist on the Rise

His love of art began at that little stand and never stopped. He worked on integrating his magic into art and was intrigued by the possibilities. There were some illusion artists already, but their art was mostly stale images or simple movements. Voril wanted to see it be more than that. He would spend many years working on the Sleeping Giant and get expelled from the school for his devotion. He would dedicate the rest of his life to art.
