Personal history
Sandon Woeshade was born in Humbolt, the son of a farmer. Life on the farm, however, did not suit young Sandon, and he yearned for a life of distinction. After joining and being trained as a town guard in Humbolt, he rose in the ranks until he was the night guard captain. Well respected despite his youth, the people of Humbolt looked to him when bandits began attacking shipments of goods in and out of the town. He and a few of his friends, disguised as travelling merchants, headed south towards Velsia when a group of armed men tried to rob them. The villians were quickly dispatched, and through interrogation, gave up the location of their bandit cave and the leader of their band.
Sandon and his allies attacked in the night, and were able to capture or kill all the bandits, but a letter found in the leader's belongings uncovered a plot to ransack the town of Humbolt. The letter was signed by a mysterious person by the name of The Black Hound. This would prove to be the beginning of an adventure that would take him and his party across the continent, through some of the harshest environs on Cremona.
It was in the captial city of Larchmont where he would meet Zaleria Dryeareplith, an elven wizard who was also on the trail of The Black Hound for unspeakable acts of brutality he had committed to her homeland in the Red River forest. She begrudgingly joined Sandon's party out of convenience, and proved to be a formidable mage in combat. When they finally caught up to The Black Hound in the frozen tundra north of the Glencroft mountains, Sandon would save her life by throwing himself between her and a bolt of eldrich energy let loose by the Hound. This took Sandon out of the fight, however, and he would awaken minutes later to Zaleria cradling his head in her lap as she fed a healing potion to him. That was the moment, both of them knew in an instant, they both fell madly in love with each other.
Sandon and Zaleria would go on to get married in a small temple in Everwood, but their adventuring was far from over. For the next decade, they traveled the world, uncovering ancient secrets, thwarting evil plots, and helping anyone in need. They cheated death daily, knowing one day, they would lose. And that may have happened, if it hadn't been for the red dragon's destruction of a dragonborn camp south of the Glowering Highlands. The party vanquished the dragon, but they couldn't save the camp from it's fury. In the smoldering rubble, they heard the sound of a baby dragonborn screeching. Its mother had placed it under an overturned iron caldron, and there it lie, unscathed, as all around, its people's charred corpses lay motionless. Sandon could not bring himself to leave the child, and he asked Zaleria if they could raise it together. In that instant, they ceased to be adventurers and became parents.
In all their years of adventuring, they amassed quite a number of rare and magical artifacts. They made their way back to Humbolt, where they set up a small stand, selling items to travelling adventurers. This proved to be quite lucrative, but Humbolt was not large nor wealthy enough to allow them to keep growing the business, and Zaleria had become pregnant, so they moved north to Loyalton where they bought a house and converted the ground floor into a shop. Since then, they have expanded their business to not only magic items, but to magic potions and spellcraft components. They have opened a second location in Humbolt run by Sandon's cousin, Panolin Woeshade. They now have five children, Anca, a red Dragonborn daughter, Jarlaxle, a half-elf son, twin daughters Oren and Orixisys, and their youngest daughter, Rivana.
