History of Creation
This is a consolidated timeline of the events in Creation, as best we can figure out.
The Prehistoric Age
Before History
In the beginning, before time and space existed there was raw Essence - chaotic and unshaped. Within this predessor of the Wyld existed the Primordials who may or may not be of the Essence, potentially even predating it, and the Fair Folk who were native to the place of chaos both groups fought over. Desiring a place for themselves - a place where they could find harborage from the chaos they resided within and a place to play their Games of Divinity - the Primordials worked together and willed Creation into existence. However, Creation could not run itself and their games required their attention, so the Primordials created the Gods to administer and defend the world for them. However, as time passed, discontent grew among the Gods but part of what they were also prevented them from revolting against their creators. Instead, they empowered mortals to be their agents. Those chosen by the Gods, the Exalted, rose up and made war against the Primordials for their celestial patrons.

The First Age
Millennia
An age of wonders and glories long lost to the current age. These splendors flowed from the hands and minds of the Solar Exalted, who ruled the world, its gods, and its Chosen as benevolent masters for five thousand years. But then something went terribly wrong. The Solars had labored for millennia under a great curse lain upon them by the vanquished enemies of the gods. In time the Solars grew wicked, deceitful and mad; their magnanimity turned to spite, their justice to tyranny. They began to turn against their subjects and each other, and the world was soon threatened by the very sorceries and machinations the Solars had used to protect it. As civil war loomed, the other Exalted saw no choice but to remove their masters. The Dragon-Blooded rose up against the Solars and slew them as they feasted the turning of the year.

Imagine a flat world, floating atop the immensity of chaos. This is Creation in the Second Age of Man.
