Gods

Creatures of Essence tasked with running Creation by the Primordials. They eventually became resentful of their creators and created the Chosen to fight against them. After the Primordial War they took over Yu-Shan to play the Games of Divinity. Though they still lived in and ran the Celestial Bureaucracy.
They are immortal beings and considered spirits. There are greater Gods of concepts and celestial beings, and local gods of things like cities, roads, mountains, and ships. Gods gain power and Essence through prayer and faith. They will often fight for this too.
During the Time of Turmoil the Gods, especially the local Gods, are no longer following their purposes as well, and will not always do the work they are tasked with. Many smaller gods can be bartered with or convince, or may become wrathful or jealous and refuse to do their duty or act against it.
