Natyr (Goatman)

Anatomy

Natyr, or Goatmen, are the only Beastien to have a Humanoid face, though the features are sometimes closer to a goat then to a man. Their multifarious horns--each curled and spiraled in different shapes, exhibiting different hues and patterns--are their most prominent and distinctive feature, often adorned with runes or jewelry, some capped with metal spikes. Goatmen mostly have curly brown hair and gentle, rounded faces with huge blue, brown or green eyes. They have the same torsos and arms as Humans except covered in various colors of fur, with powerful goat-like legs and sure-footed hooves.

Habitat

Most Natyr originate from Baavras, but they also live throughout the Centerlands in cities and towns or in other hill countries. Many of the bookish Goatmen are also found in Acadeum of Galdeum, where they can be found pouring over tomes and manuscripts in the many libraries.

Origin

As Beastien, the Natyr were created along with the Humans and some Shadowborn during the The Disjunction of Volition. They established Baavras and were aligned with the Elves during the First Ruination, but most of Baavras including Enorches was destroyed by Krossh and the Horde Orcs. After the First Ruination and the end of the Dominion of the Elves, the Natyr spread northward, settling in Voranor, Eshia, and Galdeum. The majority still live in Baavras, but there are clans and individuals in most major cities and towns.

• Headbutt: All Natyr have a natural attack to gore with their horns for 1d4, even if otherwise unarmed.

• Sure-footed: Although rather clumsy, the Natyr are excellent climbers and can deftly navigate difficult terrain with their hooves. They receive advantage on all climb skill checks and ignore any movement penalties from difficult terrain.

• Excellent Memory: Natyr receive +2 to all knowledge checks for their exceptional memories.
