Velleda (a.k.a. The Eternal Fire)
The Nether Dragon is a gargantuan ancient dragon compared to any other creature, but is the second smallest of the planar dragons. This difference, however, only makes her more dangerous. Her scales are the red of netherrack and with glinting gold eyes, with netherite claws on her webbed feet. As a creature born from flame, she uses her immunity to fire damage to swim in the sprawling lava lakes of the nether rather than navigate the chaotic terrain.
Her true name is Velleda, though none who know her name would dare speak it carelessly lest they attract her attention and her challenge.
When the Blood God was created, Velleda "helped" them learn the ways of the nether through constant trials and competitions and fights. While the two did start off as harsh adversaries, they have a deep respect for one another born from the common drive to forever improve their skills and prowess.
Velleda does have an alternative form, though she rarely uses it. When she does, she appears as a tiefling woman of incredible height and stature, with dark brown hair left down and wild. She wears tattered clothes that don't quite fit properly, as she likely stole them from previous challengers or conquests. Despite her haggard appearance, her mind is as sharp as her knives, both kept in phenomenal condition from consistent upkeep and use.
