Chierdem (a.k.a. The Protector of Life)
The Dragon of The World is an ancient golden dragon, and while she is the smallest dragon, she is by no other means small.
She has glittering golden scales that can actually emit light if she so chooses, and wide deep green eyes. Despite her eye-catching appearance, most of her time is spent in hiding.
Her true name is Chierdem of the World, and most do not know her true nature.
The Dragon of the World has inhabited the Overworld for all its life beyond its inception from The Beyond, as all dragons and original life did form from The Beyond by The Code. Despite the disconnect from the other realms, she has always had a way to contact the other dragons. Chierdem longs for the early days when she could communicate with her fellow dragons more freely and live amongst the overworlders, but since the drifting of the gods she has been hunted for her golden scales on too many occasions to disregard.
Foolish is typically her only company these days, where they both sink to the depths of the ocean in order to stay out of sight from potential harm. Together, they fulfill their duties amongst the sea life: Foolish still creating new life and buildings and art, built to withstand even the harshest environments; Chierdem still gathering knowledge and protecting others where she can from harm, whether there are drowned sailors or dangerous monsters Foolish creates in his...less stable moments.
Chierdem's typical humanoid form is that of a triton, her skin a shimmery light blue and her long tangled hair a deep teal, like seaweed in the depths. Her wide green eyes are adept at spotting danger, and she does the best she can to stay out of sight or blend in as best as she can. She acts as a paladin of devotion, when in this form.
She stays in her humanoid form more often than her draconic form, simply because it is less of a risk to her life to be a strange woman out of water than it is to be a being made of gold.
