Balthazar Stone-Wanderer

Born Just a few years after the founding of the Barony of Stone, Balthazar was the eldest son of the first baron Jirin Stone-Wanderer. As such he was given all the benefits of a privileged upbringing. Schooled by dwarven scholars and taught the ways of war from wise masters past, none of his mentors struck a chord with him more than the older dwarven knight, Ryndall Grey-stone, the man who would eventually become on of his ruling council, The Crown Jewels, and the Opal Knight. Balthazar always had a jolly nature in his youth and this drew many towards him including his would be wife, Yura. Together Balthazar and Yura would in years have two children of there own Hetta, a girl and the eldest, and Midas a son who is currently only about 6 years old. Though the Barony had is ups and downs so far under Balthazar's reign no large scale conflict has broken out involving the nation as of yet, though many of the elder dwarfs warn of the Yuan-ti's existence and seek to eliminate their old rival and foe.   When an emissary from Apophia named Lynn showed up in Stonehall speaking to the authorities about the usurped throne of Apophia and how the man now in charge of that kingdom sought dominion over the entire continent starting with the Barony. This process greatly troubled the Baron and he ordered the Last Wall to be sealed and for her to be placed in custody until the war council reached a decision. Jorgmir the Ruby Knight and one of the barons councilors, whom is often referred to as the greatest dwarf warrior of the barony took it upon himself to interrogate what in his mind was a spy for the Snake Kingdom. Jorgmir also counseled a swift and decisive attack against Apophia before they could gather their forces, but Ryndall counseled patience and wished to look deeper for a solution before sending thousands to the battlefield. Torn between the options Balthazar deliberated on the course of action to take while he gathered his forces outside of New Zanaosta to be prepared for anything. In the Ennd the conflict would come to be solved by a group that would later be called The Champions of Zelltross.   These same Champions led by The Knight of the Barony Jericho Mithos, whom the Baron knighted himself, would fight of the Demon army of Graz'zt at the Battle of Stonehall alongside the forces of the dwarves and Devils brought by Pollux. After this Jericho would shortly be named a Crown Jewel by the Baron and Balthazar himself would crown him King of New Dynthem. Now he serves as one of King Jericho's Crown Jewels replacing his own Daughter as Sapphire Knight.
