Session 5 - One Room Show
General Summary
The Partycule begins where they left off, speaking to Lord Hemlocke. Celeste, now concerned about potential enchantments and spells Lady Bumbleford may have put onto her, leaves the room. She recalls the pact she had made, specifically that Bumbleford had told her not to tell her companions about the deal she was making. While she does not exactly know the details of any spells placed on her, she's unsure if her presence could compromise any of the group’s plans. Celeste, Calum, and Asha break off at this point while Alastor and Violet resolve to stay in Hemlocke’s room to guard him. While Hemlocke has his apprehensions, he inevitably agrees.
Hemlocke explains more about his own death, telling Violet and Alastor that he cannot exactly recall how he died. It was a hunting accident which took the lives of the rest of the men that accompanied him as well, but he had been found quickly and brought to the castle with haste. Following that, his mother had revived him, and died shortly within the day. He further gives Alastor the last piece of information he has, a report on Bumbleford when she was young, which detailed her magical enchantments on her doors.
When the night finally passes, the group awakens in separate rooms. Calum stays in his original room while Asha and Celeste camp out in her and Alastor’s original room. Hemlocke, to keep with appearances, quickly awakens and goes to breakfast to treat with Lady Bumbleford while the rest of the group is free to do as they please.
Alastor and Violet briefly see Bond Borsmount acting as he had before. The young lord says that he did not remember a thing from the prior night, that he must have had too much honeywine. However, both quickly scurry away, not wanting to risk another dangerous interaction with Bond.
The rest of the day is spent planning, with the group deciding to split up into groups based on skillset. With many areas to investigate, Alastor and Asha look to walk around the castle while most of the nobility watch the duels while Celeste and Violet aim to enter Bumbleford’s lab once more to see if there’s anything there that might give them clues as to what Ambrosia does. Calum, on the other hand, is still hungry for a ticket to the Grand Royal Tourney and intends to throw his hat into the gauntlet of the dueling arena.
