IN A REALM OF KNIGHTS AND KNAVES, BANNERS AND BLADES, PEACE IS JUST A PRETTIER WORD FOR WAITING

In Corondor, a land of old monarchs and even older grudges, power is a brittle thing. From the sun-soaked lands of the Farsouth where the Gods of the New Pantheon walk the streets in false guises, to the betrayer lands of the northern Everwinter—the realm is a patchwork of petty lords and ladies grasping at glory. Every person in Corondor has the same objective: keep their name from being forgotten.   For the past one-thousand years, Corondor has been controlled by House Tandor'thal—elegant monarchs chosen by the gods to some, and tyrants to others. Centuries ago, the Tandor'thals, alongside their dragons, liberated Corondor from the tyrannical Aspects of the Old Pantheon: Libarus, Touarch and Cantor. To this day, the remnants of these fallen deities haunt every living being in Corondor.

Welcome to Of Knights and Knaves...

Of Knights and Knaves is a homebrew Dungeons & Dragons 5e heavy-roleplay game set in the world of Corondor. While heavily based in the ruleset of D&D 5th edition, much of this campaign will utilize homebrew rules or modified rulesets to include improvements from the newest system, D&D One (or D&D 2024). This is a long-term campaign which is expected to run on Sunday evenings (EST) at a to-be-determined time.   This is a game of masks and motives, of long-held grudges and sudden betrayals, of alliances built on fragile words and broken oaths. Character matters more than combat, and dialogue can carry more weight than a sword. In this campaign the ideal is that you will scheme, unite, and shape the world through your characters' wills. There will be a heavy emphasis on character arcs; your backstories will be heavily entwined with the campaign's story and your choices will have weight. This campaign is fueled by collaborative story telling; this WorldAnvil will be molded by the decisions made throughout the campaign.   The world is watching. The gods are silent. The knife is already at your back.

So what's next?
