Sylwynn Shai'ahni Yggdrasa

The cursed eldest princess of the Forest Elves, doomed to live a live of apathy and misery

Princess Sylwynn Shai'ahni Yggdrasa (a.k.a. Sylwynn the Soulless)

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Much like one of her many titles, Princess Sylwynn is truly comparable to her namesake, 'Porcelain'....at least, so she is spoken of, and so she seems to appear. She is tall, but lithe and on the thin side...and though she possess beautiful, perfect womanly curves she seems incomparable fragile, almost as if she were touched, she would shatter or crack. Being a High Elf, she does not age, and she has no physical ailments or maladies, though she is physically believed to be weak and frail from her centuries of apathetic inactivity.

Body Features

Her body is tall, somewhat pale-skinned, and incredibly well-proportioned...almost on a level many would wholeheartedly use the word 'perfect' to describe. She is an incomparable beautiful woman, blessed with such great beauty along with her immense talent, and has supple, alluring curves and a beautiful frame. Like an unblemished piece of Porcelain, her body has not a scratch, blemish, crack, or imperfection to be found on it...and while she is notably taller than most other elves, she is lacking any muscle definition or any signs of physical fitness.

Facial Features

Her face is like a piece of beautiful marble, with fine and well-proportioned lines, a regal jawline, firm and full lips, and unblemished skin supported by beautiful full eyes.

Identifying Characteristics

Her golden hair is quite signature, and it is the one thing she seems to continue to do every day despite her apathy. The braids which she forms it into and the curly drill-shapes she forms her bangs into mark her quite well, as do her earrings, rings, and other jewelry...and as crude as it is, her beautiful, gorgeous body which is compared by many of her elvish peers to the definition of perfection itself is all the mark she needs to identify herself.

Special abilities

Her supernatural beauty many consider to be a talent, but no talent of hers is more special than her peerless potential and freakish talent in almost everything she sets her mind to. Though it is absolutely frustrating to those who witness it and even enraging, she can master skills and reach levels others take decades to reach in but mere days, perfecting a craft in such a short time, discarding it once she's bored and moving on to the next passing topic of fancy.

Apparel & Accessories

She often wears tight, form-fitting silks and leathers with metal decorations around her neck and shoulders. She often leaves much of her ample curves exposed to show off her perfect beauty, and adorns herself with a beautiful pair of earrings that once belonged to her mother, the deceased Elven Queen, and many rings and jewelry items given to her and taken from suitors and other challengers over the centuries.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born as the eldest child to the Erlking of the Forest Elves Nerdu'shae Yggdrasa, Princess Sylwynn was born as a sickly child, weak and to many, one that many thought would not survive childhood. However, as she grew she proved her strength and managed to endure into her early childhood years...and upon reaching her 10th birthday she was suddenly blessed by the very gods themselves(Or so it is believed), and from that day forth she grew up with health, vigor, and beauty...and talent unsurpassed. Heralded as a Wonder child and a prodigy, Sylwynn was the rising star of the Forest Elves, heralded as their next great and beautiful queen, their perfect and beautiful star that would lead them into the next age with greatness and wisdom...however, this was not to be.   On the day of her maturation, Sylwynn's blessing became nothing but a curse...and as if some demonic entity had come to collect for all the decades of happiness her childhood had brought to so many, cursed the newly grown Sylwynn with a most terrible curse: Stealing away her passion and her emotion, she was cursed to never feel happiness, never feel satisfaction, and for all her talent and beauty, she was doomed and forbidden from "Stepping foot on land outside Shae'lenn, and The Elvenwood at large"...and to hammer the nail into the proverbial coffin, she was cursed to never experience The Earthslumber, giving her a truly immortal life of suffering. Condemned to an eternal life due to this curse of unknown origin, Sylwynn's vibrancy and beauty faded as the centuries passed onwards, becoming more and more apathetic with each passing century...and despite dozens of attempts by her father, mother, and citizens to find a cure for her curse from all means both mortal and divine, all these attempts failed and she was doomed and condemned to her current existence: That of a languid, apathetic princess whose beauty and perfection and talent now wither away on the vine, unable to be seen or used in any meaningful capacity.   Having never seen the outside world beyond Shae'Lenn or the rivers of The Elvenwood which she travels, allowed by the wording of her curse so long as she takes nary a single step onto the shore, she languishes away in the capital of Shae'Lenn, leading her people as princess and voice of her father's rule in their time of mourning for the of their queen, and her mother...while her siblings and father all wait on her hand and foot, determined to not let their cursed elder sister or daughter "injure herself" or come to harm by moving without protection, or alone.

Sexuality

Unknown. As with many other things in her life, she has become apathetic towards sexuality, and rejects all suitors with the same harsh cruelty.

Mental Trauma

Centuries of inability to feel happiness, satisfaction, or leave the capital or The Elvenwood at large have scarred her and made her apathetic, uncaring, and lazy.

Morality & Philosophy

She has completely lost a desire to care about morality or philosophy, and only seeks to find something in this world to remove her curse, or to possibly give her the tiniest spark of enjoyment, feeling, or happiness.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Due to the nature of her curse, she has none. She is unable to feel satisfaction or emotion, and cannot leave the bounds of her people's capital...in her centuries of life she has lost all but the basest motivations such as to get out of bed each morning...and sometimes, not even those.   Though, as her role as the "Voice of the Crown", she has a responsibility to lead The Elvenwood and act as the head of its government, to serve as the go-between for her father, Nerdu'shae Yggdrasa, and the citizens he rules. In recent times, she has taken on nearly the full responsibility to lead the country, and does so with the same apathetic(yet undoubtedly excellently skilled and wise) attitude she usually has...though she leads with unsurpassed wisdom, skill, and grace that many can see just a glimmer of the woman she once was, hidden deep beneath her apathy.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

As part of the nature of her curse, Princess Sylwynn is blessed with bottomless talent, such that she can nearly master any topic she wishes with nearly no effort, replicating effort others spend years developing over the course of a mere day at most. As such, she is talented in nearly everything she puts her mind to, when she is motivated to do so, and finds a subject she has not mastered already in her centuries of life.   Similarly, she was cursed with apathy and unfeeling from a very young age, and cannot feel emotion, find happiness, or be satisfied no matter how hard she tries. In the current day, the mere act of mustering the energy to rise from her own bed or do anything herself is difficult for her.

Likes & Dislikes

Likes Stories, Tales, Fantasy, Anything that comes from outside The Elvenwood, New things and experiences, Imagination, Being Alone, Being Independent, Not Exerting Effort, Sleeping, Not doing anything   Dislikes Her Curse, Not being able to leave Shae'Lenn or The Elvenwood, Not being allowed to do things herself or be Independent, Sycophants, Being 'Protected', Being made to do things

Virtues & Personality perks

She is spectacularly talented, to the point of being able to master entire skillsets that would take others decades in the span of mere days. She can do almost anything she can put her mind to, and when properly motivated, is excellently persuasive, intelligent, and far-thinking ruler and princess. She has an innate ability to "feel" the emotions of others, and is very in tune with the needs of others and those of her people, and how best to act upon those needs. She is highly empathetic, kind, imaginative, curious, and artistic, and enjoys trying new things and taking risks if it means doing good by herself or her people.   Now, however, many would never guess her to be any of those things...her talent is only displayed to humiliate her suitors and those who challenge her to a contest, whether out of arrogance or greed or otherwise, and all her positive virtues are hidden beneath a thick veil of languid torpor, and overwhelming apathy...centuries of existence beneath the shackles of her curse have eroded all she once shone so brightly for, and made her a hollow shell of a princess, burdened by her own immense talent and beauty, and the curse that keeps her bound and unhappy.

Vices & Personality flaws

She is apathetic to the extreme, and oftentimes doesn't even deign to leave her bedroom for days at a time, whiling away her infinite life in abject misery. When she can muster the energy to do something, she often has the army of servants, vassals, and the occasional slave(given to her by exotic merchants hoping to earn her favor) to do everything for her, from lifting her out of bed, dressing her, making her meals, protecting her, doing her chores...and on the off days where she has the motivation to do it herself, her other siblings often force her to reconsider for "fear of injuring herself".   As a result of her immense talent and world-renowned beauty said to be objectively perfect, she attracts suitors of all kinds and creatures coming from all corners of The Elvenwood to either make her theirs or to challenge their skills...and she invariably humiliates them, proving their skills false and sending her suitors home in tears.   Now, she seems to take some sort of languid enjoyment in humiliating those who come to court her or seek her out, enjoying and almost anticipating what she sees as an inevitable outcome: Proving herself the better and driving all others away.   She also is notorious for her greed, and for constantly importing all manner of exotic foods, spices, pets, animals, and items from all across Ea and beyond...searching for anything to try to give her the spark of happiness or enjoyment she hasn't felt in centuries. She will try any exotic food, any item, any technique, or anything no matter how dark, evil, vile, heretical or forbidden if she thinks it might bring her a spark of enjoyment...and while it isn't common for her to try such debased things, she has been known to try anything from ordering the limbs of her suitors broken on a whim, to tormenting her servants or, once, using magic to shrink and bind one of her suitors within a glass jar, and keep him on her shelf until the end of his natural life like a pet or trophy.   So while she isn't believed to have a cruel heart per se, her apathy and boredom occasionally drive her to explore darker means of trying to find satisfaction...though thankfully, such a thing is rare and on the extreme end of the scale. Most of the time, she is content to while away the days in apathetic solitude, occasionally roaming out or having her servants do things for her, rejecting and humiliating her near-constant suitors, challengers, and visiting merchants looking to earn her favor, and running The Elvenwood, all of which usually serve to keep her from exploring darker interests.

Hygiene

Uncaring to do so herself, she would likely become quite filthy if her siblings didn't force her to wake, move about, and have her servants keep her hygenic.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Being the eldest child of her father, she is the oldest and most favored child of Nerdu'shae Yggdrasa, the Erlking of The Elvenwood and as such is known far and wide by almost every creature within the borders of that very forest...she is known far and wide and has connections all throughout it, though has none outside of its borders due to her curse that prevents her from stepping foot on land outside Shae'Lenn, much less The Elvenwood itself.

Family Ties

She is the daughter of Nerdu'shae Yggdrasa, and as such is related to all the other children he bore as their eldest sister.

Religious Views

Princess Sylwynn is not known to have any religious views, whether out of apathy or disdain for the beings that allowed her to lead such a cursed existence.

Social Aptitude

In her youth while her curse was still fresh, Princess Sylwynn was referred to with love as the "Crown Jewel" of the entire Elvenwood...she was fair, beautiful, and talented, and her social aptitude was similarly legendary. She was persuasive and charismatic, and knew how to both manipulate her rivals and coerce and persuade her allies with her honesty...she was a multitalented social and political wunderkind, as she is with all things she puts her mind to...though now, she is as apathetic as a sloth and now such talent has rusted away in her centuries of increasing apathy and disinterest in life in general, used only special ceremonies when absolutely required of her.

Hobbies & Pets

Princess Sylwynn has accumulated all manner of exotic animals and pets from all over the world, accrued for her by her father, family, and citizens as a part of the ongoing national quest to find something to bring the spark of feeling back into her life and break her out of her endless apathy...however, nothing to date has lifted this curse of hers. Not exotic foxes from The Eastern Imperium, Dire Wolves from Frozen Spire Island, Warlock Bugs, nor even purple worms from The Golden Sands or even Dragons raised within The Empire of Draconia.

Speech

Though she once spoke with serenity and joy, she now speeks with distant apathy, never quite looking at the subject of her speech or giving them her full attention...she constantly seems to talk down to others, never quite dedicating her full interest to them, and speaks mostly in boring, uninterested monotone. She often sighs while speaking, and never makes it seem like speaking is anything but a burden to her.

Wealth & Financial state

As the eldest child of Nerdu'shae Yggdrasa and the eldest princess of The Elvenwood, Sylwynn has free range to all the wealth she desires, from both the coffers of her home country and anything else that strikes her fancy, no matter how far afield it may source from. Her younger siblings and her citizens wait on her hand and foot in any effort to give her the smallest happiness or satisfaction, and spare no effort giving her whatsoever she desires.
