Virtually every person that Ismark has met is dead, either by natural causes or as a consequence of the rise of The Concord of Black. The exceptions are listed here.
While being groomed by his father to be the next Burgomaster of Sigelruck Town, Ismark was formally introduced to the Burgomasters and lesser nobility of the other settlements in Sigelruck. The only noble contact who has survived the rise of The Concord of Black is Victor Vallakovich, baronet to the former Burgomaster of Vallaki, Sigelruck. Victor and Ismark enjoyed a distant, but amicable professional relationship.
In 550, Ismark met a group of Huntsmen mercenaries who wandered into Sigelruck Valley. Most of them are dead, but some survivors include:
Ismark was also briefly acquainted with Kasimir Velikov before he joined The Concord of Black. They commiserated over the startlingly similar fates of their younger sisters: they were both captured by Strahd von Zarovich and being held in Castle Ravenloft, and it was Kasimir who told Ismark about the Amber Temple and the dark powers within.
Family Ties
Ismark is the only sibling and step-brother of Ireena Kolyana.
His mother died during his childbirth and his father died from heart failure in 550. They are both buried in the church cemetery in Sigelruck Town.
