De Wachters

Every regular on Bar Row knows who they are.

De Wachters are not hired security. They are not affiliated with any bar, crew, or player organization. They operate independently across District 2, funded through a voluntary contribution system from Bar Row's established venues, and answer to no one except their own internal standards.

Founded by Pieter Vos, who personally vets every new member. The only shared identifier is a small silver anchor pin worn on the left lapel. No visible weapons. Dark navy coats, reinforced boots, direct communication, and zero tolerance for unnecessary escalation.

Standing policy: any player who genuinely needs help in District 2 receives it, regardless of class, reputation, or Beacon standing.

Operational Structure

  • Hoofdwachters (2 active): Senior operatives deployed when a situation cannot be resolved through presence alone. Currently Sofie van Dijk.
  • Wachters (15-18 active): Core response force operating in pairs across rotating District 2 coverage. Led by Lena Houten.
  • Ogen (12-15 active): Intelligence layer tracking known troublemakers and monitoring incident patterns. Coordinated by Dirk Maas.
  • Stagiairs (6-8 active): Probationary members completing evaluation under direct supervision.

Response time within District 2 is under ninety seconds from any reported incident. Presence first. Conversation second. Physical intervention last, and only when the first two have failed completely.

Known Relationships

  • LucĂa: The closest thing De Wachters have to an informal ally. Information flows between them in both directions, without formal arrangement.
  • Club1: Monitored but not hostile. As long as their operations stay contained and Civilians are not harmed, the arrangement holds.
  • Hope Syndicate: De Wachters have flagged their recruitment patterns internally. No rules broken. They keep track anyway.
  • The Salary Man: When he enters District 2, De Wachters shadow him at distance and clear Civilians from his path.
