John Westmuir

Who wouldn't know the name of the previous leader of The Royal Society Publishing? He was a celebrated war hero whose efforts laid the base for the modern Royal Society Publishing. Or at least that is how he has been presented in the course 'History of the Royal Society' for the newbies during the orientation period in the beginning of the training. The Truth, however, might have more to it...

Mental characteristics

Personal history

John Westmuir's official life story is brief and neat. He grew up in Scotland in a strict Christian household; his father Angus was a protestant priest, later a bishop, and a very venerated man among his peers. His father already had connections to The Royal Society Publishing, so it was only natural that young John would work with the Royal Society Publishing as early as he was able to assist in whatever was needed. His father mentored the young boy and his friends together with his good friend Thomas Albert Cavanaugh, the previous arcane expert of the Royal Society publishing, later the first leader of the The Magics Department of The Royal Society Publishing in London.
When Angus Westmuir died in The Great War, young John had great boots to fill. He then officially joined the The Royal Society Publishing and worked mainly with timetraveling during the interwar period. Due to practical reasons he became the leader of The Royal Society Publishing and is known to be the youngest one to ever achieve the rank before the Organisational reformation of the Royal Society Publishing in 1939, when the responsibilities of one leader were divided to three: The Magics, The Beast and The Timetraveling departments. He continued to work as the leader of The Timetraveling Department of The Royal Society Publishing in London until he died during The Operation Overlord in June 1944 when his plane was shot down somewhere over Normandy. His body was never recovered.
