Cordelia Faldovest

Queen of Leseria

Age of 46 years, born on the 6th day under the Twin Moons of 1173 at Palace Pethala of Rosvale, Floressa. Born the first daughter and second child of the Florere, Cordelia belongs to one of the strongest families of the Griolivend Heptarchy. Her marriage to King of Leseria Terseus II Drussus Faldovest has helped in ushering in a period of peace between the Kingdom of Leseria and the Heptarchy that has not been seen for centuries.

Early Life   Cordelia was born the middle child and only daughter of the Florere of Floressa Fares Pethala and his wife Oreanna Pehtala. While her older brother Loric Pethala was raised to rule as the next Florere, Cordelia was instructed instead on how to be a proper noble lady by her mother and her ladies in waiting, learning primarily of manners and etiquette in order to present herself as sophisticated to both her family and any potential suitors that will be asking for her hand in marriage. While she did begin to master the skills necessary in becoming a desireable wife, she also indulged in her own desires as well, such as having her brothers teach her the ways of the sword and the bow, as she felt any strong woman should be capable of defending herself and her children.   The Crowning of a Queen (1193-1194)   The Kingdom of Leseria, located on the Griolivend Heptarchy's northern border had recently crowned a young new King, Terseus II Drussus Faldovest, following the untimely death of his father King Lukas III Rasmus Faldovest due to complications of Death's Calling. Despite being only 17 years of age, Terseus II did a remarkable job in ridding the sickness that claimed the lives of so many from his homeland within 5 years of being crowned. After completing this daunting task, Terseus II then looked to secure his succession and find a wife. Noblewomen from all across the continent flocked to Leseria Castle to present themselves as brides for the King, and Lady Cordelia was no different. Adorned in a flowing white gown with pink flower accents to match the symbols and the colors of her house, Cordelia made her trek to Emerald Gate, the Kingdom's capital city.   Upon her arrival along with her mother, it was observed that other noblewomen present scoffed at the Lady Cordelia as many believed that the tumultuous relationship between the Kingdom of Leseria and the Griolivend Heptarchy revoked her right to an audience with the King, and would certainly not permit her to become his bride. These ladies were made to regret their words, however, as King Terseus II was able to find Cordelia's eyes through the crowd of hundreds of noblewomen and asked to speak with her privately in his chambers. Despite the importance of the situation, Cordelia and Terseus II seemed to form an immediate connection. As if they had known each other for years, the comfort felt during the exchange was mutually felt by both parties and led the King to call for all other potential suitors to exit the throne room, as he had found his queen. In time, this led both the Faldovest Royal Family and the Family of the Florere to arrange a marriage that would take place on the 1st day under the Yielding Moon of 1194. Commonly considered the first day of the year's harvest, many believed that this marriage would be able to grow a newfound peace between the former rival nations.   Continuing The Faldovest Dynasty (1194-1208)   Shortly following the grand royal wedding, Cordelia found herself pregnant with her first child, a son that would eventually be born on the 16th day under the Summer Moon of 1195 named Lukas Regulus. Given his role as the first born son, Lukas would gain the title of Crown Prince of Leseria. As time began to pass, Cordelia would find herself birthing seven children in total, four sons and three daughters. Following the birth of Lukas, Cordelia would give birth to Teresa Aquila, Chastain Marcellus, Rheten Albus, Jewel Cassea, Reed Vitas, and Alexis Aelia. Despite having many children, Cordelia was a loving and attentive mother who made sure all of her children were well watched over and taken care of. While there was help from her ladies and nursemaids, Cordelia was seen always speaking with and spending time with her sons and daughters both and was very firm on the family having dinners together when able in order to share stories and conversation similar to her youth in Rosvale.   Period of Peace (1209-Present Day)   It was common belief that the birth of a new prince or princess into the Faldovest Royal Family made the Kingdom of Leseria even more peaceful than before. There was a surplus of food, water, and military prowess that no citizen of the Kingdom, whether noble or common, went without. Along with Terseus II, Queen Cordelia was seen often by her subjects in acts of kindness and altruism to ensure the prosperity of the kingdom she reigned over. This marriage between the Kingdom of Leseria and one of the high houses of the Griolivend Heptarchy also aided in diplomatic relations between the two nations. No longer was there friction between the Heptarchy and the Kingdom but instead there was a time of cooperation and understanding that was seen for the next decade through to present day Vanilesse. Even with the majority of the continent living in peace, there are rumblings of those who wish to try and challenge the calm state of the realm. Even with this threat in the back of her mind, Queen Cordelia remains vigilant along with her husband to secure a happy life for herself, her family, and all of her people.
