Daxholm Sector

Type: Sector Population: 26 Billion Ruling House: Gisking Ruler: King Oswald Gisking Culture: Old Blood History: The Daxholm Sector was once the core systems of the Old Blood kingdom of Daxholm. Founded by Lydia Gisking Aegis, a minor noble in the Kingdom of Sax which fell to the Skoll in what is now the Old Ruins of Furse Space. She arrived in the south of the Dragon’s Head Nebula. She arrived in Drala with her children, and five Starships, and defeated several important Fabian Tutha lords and kings before being crowned king. She would later conquer the system of Daxholm itself, which would become the capital of her new, and growing kingdom before suffering a major defeat.
The power of the Kingdom of Daxholm grew and fell over the years, and although it became one of the major Old Blood Kingdoms, it was often over shadowed by the other great kingdoms. Kingdoms such as Warwick, and Umbria. Several kings of Daxholm were proclaimed High King’s of Drala throughout the years.
The Kings of Daxholm conquered the Kingsgate sector, and the old Kingdom which was based in that sector, from where heirs were granted the lordship of sub king to build renown, and a power base. At times when the Dumgarth Sector was said to fall under their control, the King’s of Daxholm would control all of southern Drala from Horndrift to Kingsgate, but the Fabian Tutha were often controlled in name only, and the Kingsgate sector was known for their many rebellions to try and reclaim their independence.
The Kingdom of Daxholm did not truly rise to power until the Great Savage Host of the Children of Rothgar arrived in Drala, and brought down all the Old Blood Kingdoms. Daxholm would rise from the ashes under Osgar ‘The Great’ Gisking, and conquer all the worlds of the Old Blood kingdoms. Osgar’s grandson would found the Commonwealth of Drala.
Daxholm is sometimes called the Old Kingdom, and the last kingdom, as it was the only one to survive the Great Savage Host. It is home to several rich and powerful systems, such as the six major systems of Bronzeward, Cinders, Fistgard, Hallowmere, Kingholm, and the Daxholm Systems. With the Western Fabian Gateway Network going through the sector to the Dumgarth, Kingsgate Sector, they saw much trade, with easy access to the Dralan Trade Route along their southern borders.
Today the Sector of Daxholm is a rich and powerful system, but King Oswald prefers the much richer, and more populous Bastion Sector. The people of Daxholm have not forgotten their past, and take pride in the fact that their blood, more than any of the Old Blood Kingdoms, built the Commonwealth of Drala.
