Daxholm System

Type: System   System Population: 6.16 Billion   System, and Sub-System Population: 15 Billion   Ruling House: Gisking   Lord: King Oswald Gisking   Culture: Old Blood   History: The Daxholm System is home to one habitable world. The world of Daxholm is home to over six billion people. The system is also home to the minor world of Goldenstone, the Star Fortresses of Kingsway Station, Starbase Daxgard, and the Shipyards of Dax Anchorage. It is a heavily populated system, and the largest system in the Daxholm Sector, as well as capital system of the Commonwealth of Drala, and former capital world of the Kingdom of Daxholm.   The system was once settled by Tutha peoples before the Fabian Conquest. After the Fabian Withdrawal the system fell to Furse Warlords who fled their homes thousands of years ago from the Skoll. From Daxholm rose one of the Old Furse Kingdoms as they fought and expanded their nations. It became the main power base of Clan Gisking Aegis after Lydia Gisking conquered the system with her children after they arrived in the Daxholm Sector with five warships.   In 8,928 the system was sacked by the Great Savage Host and King Osgar ‘The Great’ Gisking was forced to flee with his family by transport out of the system. The king was hunted as he continued the war against those who had brought down all the Old Kingdoms. Osgar would continue the war from the minor system of Mor until he reclaimed the system.   In 8,933 the Kingdom of Daxholm under Osgar 'The Great' Gisking defeated the Great Savage Host in battle after being forced to flee. King Osgar forced a truce on the invaders, forced them to convert to the Fabian Faith. Under Osgar, Daxholm became known as the Last Kingdom as all of the other Old Kingdoms had fellen to the Furse.   Although never crowned as such, it is Osgar ‘The Great’ Gisking who the Commonwealth see as their first king, and founder, although that honor would in fact fall to his grandson Wynnstan Gisking.   Daxholm has remained the seat of power to the Kings of the Commonwealth, although worlds such as Bastion have many times more people.
