The four winds of the world

Summary

Since the dawn of time, the four winds have blown over the world.   From the ice plains north of Point Terminus hails the Cold Wind. It brings a chill to the air, freezes the water, and snaps the flesh with its frostbite.
From the scorched deserts south of the Eternal Empire blows the Summer Wind. It bathes everything in a warm breeze, nurtures the land, and dries the flesh with its fiery temper.
From the ancient lands after the Far Cities in the east comes the Strange Wind. It reveals the mystical, fuels the magical, and inspires beauty and creativity.
From beyond the horizon of the Endless Sea to the west rides the Storm Wind. It brings the rain, topples what stands, and provokes anger and conflict.   It is said that they meet at the Tower at the centre of the world, which was built to stop their never ending battle, and now they tirelessly support it upright.
