Military action

A world-spanning war, beginning with the Goddesvolk invasion of Ouennia but growing in strength and severity until it encompasses most of the world (and multiple planes)

During the seven years that the Great War lasted, an estimated four million soldiers and one million civilians died.   This was an unprecedented number of deaths for the time span involved, and this is mostly due to two major inventions: guns, which allowed for elite troops to kill with devastating speed and accuracy from incredible distances, and spell-storing wands such as Wand of Fireball or Wand of Magic Missile, which allowed individual war casters to be more deadly and effective by casting more spells for longer.
