Order of Justice
The Order of Justice is the arm of Halfar: accomplishing His will on Chenravo. While the Order of Craft is focused on Halfar's gifts of creating and recreating, the Order Of Justice works to ensure that Halfar's justice is seen, felt, and protected across Chenravo.
The Order believes that order can only be brought about by their traditions, that moral wrongs must be ended, and that the good of the many must superceede the good of any one person or small group.
Structure
The Order of Justice is led by the Council of High Morality. There are ten members of the council, each with equal voice in the direction of the Order. Those on the council are known as the Peers or Councilmen. They are sometimes collectively refered to as the Peerage, or if they have fallen out of favor with the rest of the Order, the Plumage.
Below the Council of High Morality are the three 'Grands.' Each one is in charge of a part of the Order's function. First is the Grand Justiciar, in charge of the Order's military might. Then there is the Grand Inquisitor, in charge of ensuring morality, both within and outside of the Order. If there have been questions over the morality of one of the members of the Order, this arm investigates and roots out the corruption. If the Grand Inquisitor believes that a settlement or group within their reach has fallen to immoral acts, they coordinate with the Grand Justiciar to mount an assault to end thi improper actions. Finally, there is the Grand Custodian, whose main duties are to coordinate with the Order of Craft and complete the administrative tasks required by the Order.
The Grand Justiciar is seen as the most powerful, followed by the Grand Inquisitor, and finally the Grand Custodian.
Under the Grand Justiciar are the Justiciars. The Justiciars have three groups: the Sentinals, focused on defense, the Vanguard, focused on offense, and the Chaplains, focused on supporting both. The Sentinals are led by the High Sentinal, the vanguard by the High Vanguard, and the Chaplains by the High Chaplain. All three report directly to the Grand Justiciar.
Many would expect an Inqusitor to be subtle, to have spies, to be unobtrusive. That has never been the way of the Grand Inquisitor. The Inquisitors are all brash, accusatory, and blunt. If they expect that a member of the order is immoral, they will toss their quarters, follow them around, and generally bother the individual in question until they are satisfied one way or the other.
The Grand Custodian has the smallest staff, though arguably does most of the work for the Order. The work of the Custodians is to ensure that each member of the order is fed, housed, and paid. They also make sure that those who need them have weapons and armor, as well as ensure that records are preserved and protected.
Divine Origins
The Order of Justice formed alongside the Order of Craft in the early days of the Dwarven Clandom. The leaders of both organizations were close friends, and both members of Clan Dergus. They recognized a need within the Clandom for a stronger appreciation of Halfar's ideals. Akrual believed in Halfar's moral superiority while Hektun touted Halfar's deft hands and ability to bring new things into the world.
Tenets of Faith
Justice must be visited on evil.
Traditions are all that stand between us and moral failings.
Personal sacrifice is justified if it should bring about more followers of Halfar.
