Bound Orders of Halfar
The Bound Orders are each dedicated to one of Halfar's ideals. The Order of Craft is dedicated to Halfar as a creator and maker of things. The Order of Justice is dedicated to enacting Halfar's justice on the world and rooting out evil as it exists. These are two separate orders, but they work together and support each other so they can achieved their shared goals.
Technically the "Bound Orders of Halfar" is nothing more than a term to refer to these two independant organizations. There is no overarching administration that unites the two. Many people, including many dwarves, make the mistake of believeing that the Bound Orders are infact a singular organizantion with two arms. Both organizaitons do share a number of similarities, however, such as members that are from the Clans Rakkai, Oggenheim, and Dergus.
The Order of Craft is dedicated to making things worthy of Halfar's blessing of Sainthood. They also create arms, armaments, and armor for the Order of Justice. Many of the members of the Order of Craft are also members of the Clans Stellonstrik, Minenarc, and Casenak.
The Order of Justice wants to root out evil (or what it views to be evil) and to impose the morality of Halfar across Chenravo. It is less concerned with people worshipping gods other than Halfar so long as that worship does not lead them to acts criminal or immoral. Many of its members also belong to Clans Kraghok, Sekkinfur, and Hrakinford.
The Bound Orders supprort each other as they can. For the Order of Craft, this usually means producing things that the Order of Justice needs, such as weapons, armor, and occasionally siege weapons. They also help to create, restore, and keep safe various ceremonial artifacts used by the Bound Orders. These artifacts can be as small as a quill used to endorse new doctrine or as large as a battering ram used to open a Minotaur village. For the Order of Justice, supporting the Order of Craft usually takes the form of securing materials used by those it puts to the sword. They also take the most skilled craftsmen they find that have offended their tennants and force them to share their secrets with the Order of Craft.
Divine Origins
The Twin Orders were both formed only a few short years after the founding of the Clandom. It was largely a product of Clan Dergus, which wanted to have a way to involve more clans into Halfar's worship, and to have a method to pressure others into accepting Halfar as their god.
Political Influence & Intrigue
The Twin Orders, partially by virtue of being a collabrative organization between so many clans, and partially by speaking as the official religious voice of Halfar, have exceptional power in the realms of Dwarven politics and religion. To their detriment, however, they have never had enough political capital to have themselves integrated into the Clandom proper to create a theocracy or even a semi-theocracy. They have tried several times, with their most successful attempt being in 2173, when the matter was only rejected by the then king of the Clandom: King Ashwan Rakkai.
When the Twin Orders aren't attempting to assume control of the Clandom, they do have a high rate of success at influencing Dwarven society.
