Micnatono the Bright City

The original city was lost. It was rebuilt as a several villages and gained a dome. Rebuilt under the Vetala. The original pumps and water wheels replaced with new winter ones driven by undead. Cold river water and hot spring pipes for heat exchange give heated clean water. The middlings between the sections have been given over to the Tilberi, Heteraki and Varcolac - as have the sewers. The Vetala have granted small herds to the Blood Mages and Necromancers as pay for maintaining the Arcane Crystal lights - though the Master of lights is Heteraki

Micnatono is a wonder.  Each level is connected by bridges from section to section.  Noble persons need never descend to the lower levels, save when visiting the Lords!  Arcane Crystal lights illuminate the walkways  day and night, sometimes changed out  to different colors. 

Government

Vetala Blood line most of the city with Infernal blue-skinned Ramanga as their enforcers, Estries and Varcolac running other sections.

Infrastructure

The dome is built on tracks and can be disconnected into sections and moved to open the city sky in summer and leave only a few open slots in winter, or seal it shut. The sewers were reconstructed, and water wheels established to pump cold river water to storage tanks where it provides the whole city with aqueducts and clean running hot water by hotspring water heat exchangers. In the cold and icy winters, undead under the control of the Dhampir and Necromancers work geared wheels to move water from under the frozen river to the water towers in the city.  The city is largely lit by arcane crystals at night, which reduces the fire hazard.

History

Originally a small city, the town was overrun after a brief siege by the Risen and other undead.  Some inhabitants remained in the crumbling ruins until the Harrower sent the Vampires to establish domains.  The Vetala see themselves as more sophisticated and enlightened than the other blood lines, the natural rulers and they determined to have a showcase of their superiority.

Micnatono is one of the Harrowland's domed cities. The Vetala aim to make it the most advanced and sophisticated city of the Harrowlands.
