Dymon, the Overlords

Ancient records speak of the Overlords that ruled the Shards and Kuan in the millennia after the Tumult and the Shadow Years. They were there when the first humans came to the isles somewhere about the Taurien 2000's. The Bronze age of Classical Taurien culture and the Great Damamilian Kingdoms developed and grew in the east at this time, nearly 5000 years ago. The humans had crude copper and stone weapons and crude primitive talent magics or shamanism. What Gods they had were quickly replaced by the Fae that appeared amongst them. By 3500 yrs ago the Fae were the gods of the humans of the Isles. They attempted to challenge the Dymons, and the Fae were easily defeated. They became overseers of the human tribes, laborers and farms. Dymon overlords became the living gods and rulers of the Shards. The isles became the personal playgrounds of the mightiest Dymons with the fae as the agents of their dominion. There were never a great many and what little was known has been lost in myth and legend.  The Torga History tells of the ages subordination and conquest until the second revolt of both humans and Fae allowed them to be destroyed.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Overlords stood at seven or eight foot tall ( 2.1 to 2.4 m). They were outwardly male and female in manner like humans, but stories say they also changed shapes. All agree they had black horns and goat or cow like ears and tails with a blade or fin. The eyes yellow or gold with a vertical pupil.

Civilization and Culture

History

The Dymons were Sidereal Fae Host that survived the destruction of the greater parts. They were bolstered by powers obtained from the Wyrd Fragment of twisted pocket dimension found at the top of the holy mountain on Kuan.

As host, they have approximately the same relation to the Sidereal Fae as blood cells to a human body.  They are of the same substance but can't grow a new body.  These fragments live independently as Daemons 

Common Myths and Legends

The Overlords were fearsome demons say the legends. They flew without wings. They breathed fire and called lightning. They caused people to become lost and confused.
The @Fae Heresy says that The Gods of The Order of Heaven were the ancient Overlord Demons. That they changed from living to spirits and remained the Gods of the Torga people.

The idea and worship of the Dymons for thousands of years spawned Chimera avatars. These are not true Gods, nor the Overlords themselves but the creations of the minds of generations of worshipers and doctrine that now fill the roles of the Gods.
