Monumite

Monumite is a mineral which stores divine energy or daylight as pure white light. Legends say all Monumite originally made up the scales of Ebdahat, but these scales were reduced to mineral form over the ages. Small pieces are often used as temporary sources of light, emitting weak daylight for as long as they were kept in the sun, but such pieces are very rare and break down over time. Larger pieces are found within Monuments and are too dangerous to collect, except for the Summer Monument which is used by the Triric Crusaders. Because Monumite here spends months being exposed to pure energy from the Monumidium, it emits the same energy for months afterward, making it a perfect weapon to use against the Ghul. However, such Monumite often breaks after the light runs out, due to the strain caused by storing so much power.
