Ignimos
Also known as Sacra Habitus, the Ignimos is a diagrammatic concept that explains and structures the makeup of life and existence. It has several variants but the most common version is explained below.
The Three Presences
All things have some proportion of body, mind, and heart. Humans are said to be the perfect balance of all three, while Dyuminor are super-conscious, Enoxais generally lack heart, and Gwerine are high in animality.Body
- Physical presence. Its form is matter and its origin is salt.
- It is also called the Shell, Form, Flesh, Construct, or Vessel.
- Its utmost form is minerality, derived from the body of Ebdahat.
- Body can be broken down but not destroyed; its components go back into the earth, which are eventually transformed into a new body through the process of life. A small portion of each body is said to leak down into the Underworld.
- That which lacks body is ethereal, vaporous, or conceptual.
- It acts like an egg's yolk, feeding the unborn chick and protecting life, yet incapable of replenishing itself once exhausted.
Mind
- Mental presence. Its form is consciousness and its origin is divine light.
- It is also called the Psyche, Intellect, Conscious, or Knowing.
- Its utmost form is humanity, derived from the light of the Celestium.
- Mind can be quietened but not destroyed; without Body, it is softened and weakened but stays connected with Heart if in darkness, and is invigorated and strengthened but separated from Heart if in light.
- That which lacks mind is superficial, transitory, or instinctual.
- It acts like a narrow light illuminating the truth of an otherwise dark room, yet unable to perceive what exists beyond its vision.
Heart
- Emotional presence. Its form is spirit and its origin is a seed.
- It is also called the Spirit, Soul, Conscience, or Essence, or Will.
- Its utmost form is animality, derived from the compassion of Cuuhuina.
- Heart can be stilled but not destroyed; without Body, it is subject to the greater forces and is either carried up to the Monumidium or, if in an environment lacking motion or energy, will linger indefinitely and stay combined with Mind.
- That which lacks heart is mechanical, pragmatic, or calculable.
- It acts like a coursing river, and rushing wind, giving vigour and passion, yet adverse to the anomalies of silence and stillness.
