Disturnals

Also known as the Dreamkin, Disturnalism is the dominant religion among the Gvadhuvals chiefdoms of Gvadhuvasha. Disturnals practice dreamweaving, which is a form of communal dreaming that has the potential to not only shape the waking world but create a secondary persistent reality.
Disturnals believe that dreams, when used correctly, have the power to rival the waking world. They consider dreams to be a gateway to the guidance and wisdom of the avatar of their deceased god Mirvahadh. This avatar is called Vagar, and Disturnals keep Vagar within the dream to protect him from the dangers of the waking world, not wishing to lose their god a second time.
Known for their reclusive and secretive nature, Disturnalism is only taught to devoted followers of Mirvahadh who wish to join the communal dreamweave. Secondarily, skilled Disturnals have the ability to alter their waking form. These changes are commonly superficial and minor, such as a change in eye colour or height, but Disturnals of legend are known for being able to change their entire appearance and even bypass disease and amputation using dreamweaving. Legend has it that eventually all Disturnals withdraw into the dream completely, living out a secluded and secure existence with Vagar.
