Tengond Species in Channel Cities and World of Ærnth | World Anvil

Tengond

The Tengond people are the tallest (true) humans in the known world on average (close to 7’ tall). They are sometimes referred to as the First Born, as it is believed that they are of the oldest human bloodlines on the World of Ærnth.   They are a very proud and civilized people even though they tend to have very little contact with the other "civilized" peoples of the world, due in part to their remote location deep within the vast and uncharted (according to those of the Channel Cities region anyway) Southern Jungle of the Tighláhrubha Continent. They have a fairly extensive empire beneath the thick and tangled jungle canopy. Trade between the Tengond peoples and the merchants of Argentum have proven to be very profitable for those willing to undertake such risks. There are numerous products and resources that are available within the jungle that can be found nowhere else in the world.   Using the Rolemaster character creation system they are considered to be of High Human blood, with very dark skin and thick black hair. Most other RPG systems (which usually do not have the level detail and flexibility that Rolemaster does), they should be considered humans, even though this does not do them justice from the perspective of their attributes/stats (as is also the case with the other Rolemaster Human, high sub-races).   Their native Language is also known as Tengond. It is a complex and ancient language (some historians say that it is one of the oldest human languages on the World of Ærnth) surpassed in complexity and nuanced expression by Ancient, High Elven and Dagondis.   More details to follow as time permits...
