Mikalis City

The empire of sound

A chanting city located on the border of the seemingly endless jungle biome of Elcorodion Green. Named after an angle with the voice of a thousand heartstring, Mikalis.   Mikalis city is a city that was once cut apart from the world thirty years back, despite this towering disadvantage. Mikalis City is currently one of the most developed metropolia on Cereta, following the footstep of Chime City and Helbertz. However, unlike them, Mikalis City originated deep down from the bottom, a settlement once haunted by carving famine and relentless starvation. Now stand proudly as the radiant capital of music, a unique landmark where varieties of music can be heard from every corner in the city.   Mikalis city is not only known for containing the most extensive Library in Cereta. She is known as the empire of sound by most people. A place where music can be heard on any corner in the city, from the grand center where the magnificent Library is located to a dark alley situated far from the city center.   Usually, when asked, most people from the different regions didn't know that Mikalis city has a library. The grand Library has always been closed for ordinary citizens. Because of most of Mikalis city's citizens are musician, this factor help Mikalis city gain the primary attention of musicians worldwide since the help of the koiga sovereignty which open Mikalis city to the rest of the world. This makes the music industry in Mikalis city having a more reputation among the other city in Cereta. New music genres usually trend started in Mikalis city a few months earlier than other cities in Cereta. The music industry is also Mikalis city's primary income, with the yearly revenue of 123.4 billion zf yearly, and the revenue doesn't seem to be decreasing anytime soon.   Despite all of its glory, Mikalis City isn't a utopia where all of its citizens can enjoy music without a care in a world. Most of its main industries demand either a great possession of talents or passions to thrive, making citizens with those perks listed in what considered as the higher class of 23 % of the population. A low but high percentage compared to other Koigan cities. That portion of the population lives inside the center of Mikalis City, right next to the Library of Sakharus, and they would have to work relentlessly to avoid being toss to the middle-class section. The highly competitive and saturated field of their main industry Thriving as much of the creators of this music are thieves in this city thrive as much from the music

History

Region only suitable for an empire that has faced no defeat. Following the prophecy, The helbarnese Emperor ordered his empire three months in advance to prepare for an early harvest, and prepare their provision for a journey to the end of the world to find a new destination to settle their empire. However, with only a wee bag of shells to cover up their Which ignited the second event. An event that recorded the greatest population migration ever recorded in history. Such a large scale migration with the size of the Helbarnese Empire would certainly be impossible at that time, however, before the broken empire fled from Elcorodion Green after their battle. To preserve their provision during the journey and hasten their speed. Orders were given by the emperor to eliminate all Helbarnese who are either too frail or too old to travel.   This action enraged a large portion of the population, which would rather die on the land that was built by their ancestor, rather than to fled cowardly after a defeat. Igniting a short but fierce revolution that was quickly put out by the royal army, and only several hours later, their desire was fulfilled, as streams of cold blood soon flow into rivers from their lifeless body get absorbed into the thirsty soil below. Although the event achieved almost nothing, it has been able to buy enough time for a group of rogue citizens lead by the widowed wife of Liu Feng to flee into the north with all of the knowledge that they can carry on their mount, back, pocket or arm. Days after days hiding and cowering from the raging Helbarneses empire, provision drying out and with only wild berries and animal corpses to feed on. Until one day, one of their main carriers suddenly slip down the hills carrying with it a large portion of books, leading to the group losing an afternoon trying to find the lost carrier, Once They finally caught up to the lost carrier, Although the Carrier is unable to survive the impact of the fall, Its death does not cause great concern as they discovered a great patch of land to start a new beginning. The rogue population returned and halved of the burned knowledge are soon recovered thanks to the interference of different Time Manipulators, many of these manipulators have passed away due to extreme aging after being able to recover some of the knowledge. The name of these selfless individuals is later forever remembered as names for different sections in the Library.   Whenever Mikalis city strikes up in a conversation, praise and compliment aimed toward the glorious pearl white cylinder-shaped library stuffed with hundred of floors crafted from fine oil-coated glass that stand proudly in the middle of the city are not uncommon, surrounded by the relaxing Mikalis city where music can be heard from anywhere. However, the glorious Mikalis city we know and love wasn't as nearly as glorious as it is a few decades ago. before the assistance of the koiga sovereignty. Mikalis city was not a rich city. On the contrary, isolation from other cities has kept it quite poor. Although it is rich in raw and rare minerals, most of the population in Mikalis city were either writers or musicians, leaving most of its the city's potential left untouched. Luckily thanks to the low humidity, there are many healthy crops, more than enough to satisfy its population, and 30% of the taxes are spent on developing and polishing the Library. However, after the Koiga Sovereignty heard about the new lof the hidden city and after some back and forth agreement. To trade for the knowledge held within the Library, The Koiga offer to open trade with Mikalis City with great interest, acknowledging that the Koiga are capable of protecting Mikalis City from The Helbarnese empire, Mikalis city gladfully lend the Koiga their sheathed knowledge, thanks to the access to The Seeker's hidden knowledge, the Koiga Sovereignty was able to base on the technology of the ancient Helbarnese empire and use it to create technology that can counter Hunter's technology, Koiga's technology have grown forward, and 30% of the income from those technologies are invested into Mikalis city, Transforming Mikalis city from an anonymous town to one of the most developed cities in Cereta, However despite its knowledge being highly advanced, Tired of their overwhelming workload, the Mikalean refuses to turn Mikalis City into a futuristic mess like Chime City. Instead, they chose to give Mikalis City a calm relaxing theme for their mind to prosper.   The main engine that motivated Mikalis City's government into casting a shadow on any traces of this mythical city from the world for centuries is because deep within Mikalis city lies the most extensive Library recorded in history. Where books and scrolls recorded of lost history sealed safely behind its wall, preserving them from the lick of mold and erosion.     Due to fear of the Ancient Helbertz empire destroying Mikalis City after knowing that the library was forbidden to gain access among the lower classes and outsider of Mikalis City, the library was only open for the higher ranking Seeker worshipers, this factor dramatically slower the development of society by encrypting and mummifying most of the Seeker's valuable knowledge away, historians have even speculated that if the library were open for the Koiga sovereignty to view years earlier, the Koiga's technology would have been much more developed and advanced than the Hunter Organization, This means that there could be a possibility of the Koiga gaining the upper hand against the Hunter Organization and eventually defeating them if they were permitted to obtain information inside the library. The main reason why the seeker has chosen Mikalis city as the location to build the library is because due to Mikalis city having a significantly low level of humidity which consecutively making Mikalis City relatively dry and cool, granting Mikalis city the perfect condition to preserve paper and book from aging and withering from worthy knowledge into dusts of nothing.
