The Loft

Purpose / Function

The Loft is an old renovated three story industrial building in Kensington. It was purchased for Lettie by Merryman Tech at her request. She lives on the top floor and Korinne Pierce, Greta Minter, and Henry Minter occupy some of the apartments on the second floor.

Alterations

Lettie has owned the building for 2 years. She has overseen the renovations of the second and third floors into her home and apartments. The first floor is still under renovation.

Architecture

The Loft has a red brick exterior with light tan brick accents.

History

The Loft started out as a textile mill in the late 1800s. During prohibition the basement was altered into a secret speakeasy with hidden entrances. It closed down in the 1970s and has been used for different purposes until 1998 when it was abandoned.
