Fight for Freedom
General Summary
Caldwell and Gourm were able to dispatch the guard captain and one of the guards relatively quickly, but a third was able to gather reinforcements. Gourm attempted to head down to the canal to escape, but a vitraxine guard through grease on the ground covering the space in front of the ladder. The two decided to take a chance to escape through the alleys, but eventually were surrounded. Caldwell was slowed by the same vitraxine guard while fiery ants surrounded Gourm. Still, they fought on, dispatching the lower guards quickly and killing the guards as well. Eventually, the fight came down to the two badly injured fighters and two guards. Caldwell landed a powerful blow taking one down, but the other fled off into the city. Burning still from the cloud of insects, they uused their wineskins and Gourm's last remaining elixir of life to douse the remaining flames. Severely injured, the two find themselves looking for a way to escape with their horses in a stable in town and the guards on high alert.
