Appearance, location relative to Yu Dao, spirits present. Related to
Avatar Kowara, contains the last remnants of her writings and theories. Has the details on how the AN used to brainwash people into harmonious accord, and also about how to take someone's bending. Some of the types of spirits more likely to agree with her were roped into guarding it.
Concepts like order, harmony, neutrality, secrecy. All shielded by the four elements.
Appearance
Very overgrown. No one goes out here and the spirits make it so that everything grows up around it faster. The farms around the area use the area for foraging but history makes it so that none of them extend their property that far.
There's great bluestraw berries around. Loads of bushes. Some thorny vines to discourage entry.
Once you get into the actual area, you can see the stones of the building that are clearly part of a former building. It's a mix of things. The style is rather rough at this point since any decorations and paintings would have mainly worn off. The entryway has a few remaining but they were mostly left as a warning not to go further and that Kowara was dangerous and insane and left so many booby traps.
The main feature is a big door. There's a kind of keyhole in the middle of it. Close examination shows the remnants of the water symbols (the progressive doors go water-earth-fire-air ending with Kowara's own element). There's a sequence of pipes inside the door and it can only be opened by turning the proper points as written on the scroll. When the pipes flow in harmony, then the door opens.
In the immediate antechamber, there is a fountain. Broken now, but the water still flows through and forms part of a small stream that passes outside.
The first spirits are outside. The order, to match the doors, goes harmony-neutrality-secrecy-order. Because water must flow harmoniously, earth is meant to use neutral jing, fire burns away all trace and leaves nothing but secrets, and air requires an orderly mind. (Not sure about that last one)
It's straight north from
Yu Dao. The interior is clearly fragile. You could blast through, but there's like a 100% chance it and its secrets will all crumble to bits.
The exterior of the temple doesn't have so much to explore at this point because it's rather run down.
Inhabitants
For water: they are water spirits connected to this place by the avatar's command. They can be knocked down but when you come back I will give them more abilities and possibly make the group larger.
Water/Harmony: Major NPC. Balance track Harmony 0 +1 +2 +3 +4 (Discord). Fatigue 5. Rather shaped like a ghost in terms of being a big blob with some extra arms that can stick out.
Stream the Water:
advance and attack. Push a high powered stream of water from a significant source. Mark fatigue to inflict a condition on a foe within reach of the water source; they are pinned against something and cannot shift positions or engage foes other than you until they break the stream or you drop it. Mark 1-fatigue at the end of each exchange to continue the stream.
Little waters: small group of Minor NPCs. Principle Harmony 0 +1 +2 +3 +4 (Discord). Fatigue 5.
Engulf:
defend and maneuver. The whole group shifts forward en masse, engulfing their target and engaging them. An engulged target becomes
Impaired and cannot escape or disengage this exchange. The group automatically uses Strike against each
Impaired foe within reach.
