Seonon

Seonon, sad Seonon, has a history as dark as the waters of Loch Munremair. Here Queen Algana the Fair stood atop the tower lamenting the death of her beloved Gorawan, until the spirits of The Feywild were themselves overcome with sadness and allowed his shade to ascend through the pool for a day and a night to console her. In latter days this land has often been ravaged by raiders from the Tsardom of the Vaegirs , and not far from here lies the woods where High King Uthalhain  disappeared, clearing the way for the rise of High King Caladog.   The city itself once took up the entire valley within which it resides, but now is more heavily fortified into a mountainside to protect itself from raiders who come up through the mountain passes to the North of the city. However, much of the valley is now cultivated with grapes, making Seonon a wine exporting city, focusing particularly on ice wines produced from the cold climate grapes of the region. In addition, the stone of the city is of particularly high quality for building, and so many cavernous quarries exist behind the city's exterior. Many Vaegir raiders who are captured are sent here to work the quarries. Finally, Sheep are aplenty here, as the grasses surrounding the city grow thick and tall, leading to a burgeoning linen industry.   Due to the prevalence of raiders in the area, Seonon is also the criminal capital of Battania, as many mountain passes nearby allow one of the few access points to the nation. Smugglers will frequently move goods through secret passes, and many criminal organizations in the region benefit from a trade in slaves, and will trade with whichever side has the best prices. The dark underground taverns of Seonon are a place that anyone can buy anything for the right price.
The villages of Andurn, Bryn Glas, Fenon Tryn, and Swenryn are bound to the town.
