Saneopa
The city of Saneopa meaning "Horse" and "Station", has been a stopping point for many generations for the people of the plains to the city's East. This is where nomadic tribes and villagers would come to sell and trade their livestock, wool, meat, bows, saddles, and other goods.
Since the Siege of Diathma, the city has gone from a small trading outpost to a frontier city, flooded with soldiers and mercenaries. since these days, the people of the steppes have re-equipped themselves into soldiers, forming garrisons of horse-archers which, contrary to all expectations, have been devastatingly effective against the regular legions of The Western Calradian Empire. This has become the fate of the city now, whereas once the city was simply a refuge from the steppes, now it is an essential strongpoint, with the civilian population largely trained to fight in anticipation of a Western invasion.
The lands outside the city are relatively barren. Small cattle or sheep farming villages dot the landscape, but otherwise there is little of note. Some whisper about hidden treasures among the rocky outcroppings of the steppes, but many say these places are either old and haunted, or well watched by bandits of the steppe.
