Qasira

The legendary Queen Eshora, it is said, punished the jinn who were harassing her people by imprisoning them in one of the caves above Qasira, carving the mystical eight-pointed star into the rock to seal them in. She sentenced them to haul water from the depths of the earth, feeding the springs that gush forth from the rocks and which for centuries have irrigated the date gardens of Qasira and its surrounding villages.   Qasira sits between the River Saihmara and the source of the River Diyala. Due to this position, the city has bountiful growing lands, but rather than it's sister city Sanala, it produces mostly dates, and other luxury food commodities. In addition, it grows a significant number of trees used for the production of silk, a luxury commodity that it exports in abundance. Between these two industries, the city has become very wealthy, and frequently competes with the other cities of the South for trade supremacy.   The city is also the capital of The Southern Calradian Empire, and is under the personal ownership of Emperor Rhagaea Pethros. The city's wealth and prosperity contributes directly to the ongoing survival of this faction of the empire, and it is from here that legions are raised to skirmish with The Aserai Confederacy to the West, and The Southern Calradian Empire to the North and East.
