The sources, and as such the authors, of the various texts are buried by time and it is said that a majority of the texts are from the time even before The Wanderer's Fall. Most likely they originated from diverse cultures who made their homes in far away lands. Their myths and legends were passed down the generations and endured the passage of time, sometimes being embellished, sometimes being condensed. Also, over time, more established and sometimes competing priesthoods were able to seize the texts and made use of them to further their own dogmatic agendas.

But the core values of the texts were preserved and at one point in history, unknown to us, they were aggregated into one large text corpus, written in the old, but not lost, Neosthenis Éollan.
